2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

The Highlander Hybrid has been the only SUV hybrid in Toyota lineup, and Toyota will change its SUV hybrid lineup’s status quo when it will start selling the hybrid version of the RAV4 in the fall.

Unveiled just last week at the New York International Auto Show, the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid will be the eighth hybrid model and the second SUV hybrid model in Toyota roster, and the only hybrid in the entire “compact SUV” segment.
Exterior and interior, the RAV4 Hybrid acquires everything that gas version has to offer.  And since Toyota just gave the whole 2016 RAV4 lineup a new refreshed exterior styling and updated interior, the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid will not look the same with any previous gas version RAV4.
That most important thing that is worth to mention is, unlike driving other hybrid vehicles which you have to sacrifice performance for efficiency, but for the RAV4 hybrid, it does actually deliver more horsepower and better acceleration than the gas version RAV4, and at the same time achieves higher MPG.
Equipped with an AWD system that features front and rear motor operated individually, the 2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is powered by a hybrid system that consists of a 2.5-L, 4-Cyl engine and eCVT (Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission).
