2016 Lexus GS F
Lexus today announced and released preliminary specs of the awaited GS F which will join Lexus’ high-performance “F” line as a 2016 model year.
With the introduction of the GS F along with the existing RC F, Lexus’ “F” line now comprises of both sedan and coupe models.
Though sharing the same platform with the current GS 350 F SPORT, the GS F will have enhancements throughout, including the engine. It will be powered by a V8 5.0-L engine which produces a whopping 467 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and peak torque of 389 lb.-ft at 4,800-5,600 rpm. The engine will be teamed with a “lightning quick” 8-speed AT with manual-shifting capabilities.
With the exclusively designed suspension and structural reinforced unibody, Lexus said:
Drivers will appreciate the GS F’s handling and smoothness on the open highway as well as the sedan’s ability to devour challenging roads, whether they’re winding up the side of a mountain or at a racetrack. The new GS F will offer drivers a very balanced sedan with genuine dual personality, equally adept at trimming lap times and the commute back home.
The 2016 Lexus GS F will be unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). See “Press Release” for preliminary specifications. READ MORE
