2015 Subaru Outback
Subaru today announced two of its latest all-new vehicles, the 2015 Outback and the 2015 Legacy, have achieved “2014 TOP SAFETY PICK+” from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
Bringing home the awards, both 2015 Outback and Legacy have helped Subaru maintain its status of being an automotive brand with the most “Top Safety Picks” vehicles. Seven Subaru vehicles have received safety awards from IIHS – three with “TOP SAFETY PICK+” and four with “TOP SAFETY PICK”.
The 2015 Subaru Outback and Legacy got “Good” rating from IIHS in all the safety tests, including Small Overlap Front, Moderate Overlap Front, Side, Roof Strength, Head Restraints and Seats. In addition, both 2015 Outback and Legacy earned the maximum score of 6/6 for “front crash prevention”, thanks to being equipped with the new “EyeSight driving assist system”.
Both 2015 Subaru Outback and 2015 Subaru Legacy are powered by the same two engine choices, the 2.5-L 4-Cyl BOXER engine which produces 175 horsepower and 174 lb.-ft. of torque, and the bigger 3.6-L V6 BOXER engine which generates 256 horsepower and 247 lb.-ft. of torque. READ MORE
